Aquarius by Connor Prestenbach

Waves resplendent, bending, crashing

Ocean’s remnant, wending, splashing

Light refracted, piercing, shining

Sun enacted, searing, blinding

Aquamarine, cerulean, azure

Lost and serene, the blue sea’s allure

Water like glass, flowing and moving

Out of sight fast, going, renewing

In sight, a river runs painted

Like life, delivered untainted

Holding A brush that strikes the page

Creating a rush like lightning caged

Alas a wave must run ashore

At last to pave the way for more

Many hundred a day at least

To lay sundered on the beach
